Princeton Offers Home Improvement Program For Low-Income Families
The Town Council has structured this program as a forgivable loan. There are no monthly payments or interests.
PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton is accepting applications for its municipally sponsored home improvement program for low and moderate-income families.
Eligible home improvements include roofing, windows, electrical upgrades, heating systems, insulation, plumbing, handicapped improvements and any other code violations.
The Town Council has structured this program as a forgivable loan. There are no monthly payments or interests. The loan is forgiven at the rate of 10 percent per year over a 10 year period.

Applicants who stay in their homes for 10 years, their loan will be forgiven. The program is available for owner-occupied single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes and duplexes in which the owner occupies one of the units.
