Whether you reside in the former Princeton Township or former Princeton Borough, you are required by ordinance to clear the sidewalk in front of your residence or business within a finite period of time after the end of a snowfall.
Ordinance 19-2 of Princeton Township allows 48 hrs. for the clearing of sidewalks, while Ordinance 28-16 of Princeton Borough allows for 24 hrs. for the same task. Even though the towns have consolidated, each ordinance is still applicable and enforceable. If for no other reason, please clear sidewalks for the safety of pedestrians that use your street.
