Princeton Property Tax Due Dates Delayed After State Government Shutdown
The town will have information on the due date and the grace period within the next few days.

PRINCETON, NJ — Like many municipalities in the state, Princeton is unsure when property tax bills will be mailed. As a result, it can’t tell residents when they are due.
Delays in the State Budget Adoption Process, including a brief shut down of New Jersey state government, the state has not yet confirmed state aid figures for the year. This results in a delay of residents receiving their property tax bills. Therefore, there will be an extension of the due date for property tax bills.
The due date is 25 days after property tax bills are mailed, which typically happens in the beginning of July. However, the township doesn’t know when it will receive permission to mail the property tax bills from the state.
