The school district seeks information on plans for the tract amid population increases, the Princeton Packet reports.

Princeton, NJ -- The Princeton Public School District plans on meeting with Princeton University officials concerning their plans for the Butler Tract, the Princeton Packet reports.

The university plans to turn the 36-acre site into a residential development, although it isn’t clear when that project would begin, according to the report.

The long-term plan for the site is to develop about 300 residential units, in addition to meeting whatever affordable housing requirements are ultimately set for the town, according to the report. Housing for graduate students, staff and post-docs is in the plans for the site.
