Princeton Schools Explore Short Term Options For Increasing Student Population
The Valley Road School may be reopened, with the administration housed there moving to the Princeton Packet building, the paper reports.

Princeton, NJ -- The former Valley Road School may be reopened, and the central administration for the Princeton Public School District currently housed there relocated as the district examines temporary solutions to handle its increasing population, the Princeton Packet reports.
One scenario has those administrators renting out the building currently used by the Princeton Packet on Witherspoon Street, according to the report. The newspaper was recently sold to businesswoman Helena May.
Administrators would occupy that building for 3-5 years, while a permanent solution is decided, according to the report.

One possible solution includes a possible bond referendum to fund capital improvement projects, which may include the construction of a new school.
The increases throughout the district’s elementary schools and the middle school are related to new residential developments on the former hospital site at Avalon Bay, and Princeton University’s Merwick-Stanworth on Bayard Lane.
