Princeton Regional After School Program (ASP) Registration

Parents may begin registering their children in Princeton Regional Schools’ Before School Program (BSP) and After School Program (ASP) for the 2013-2014 school year through the YWCA Princeton. Registration before the first day of school is strongly encouraged.

The YWCA has a long history in after school programs throughout the area, having served thousands of families since the mid-1970s. They currently run similar programs for both the Lawrence Township and Montgomery Township school districts.

Parents can elect to participate on a full time or part-time basis. Or they can choose a five-day pass option for use in the ASP and BSP programs. Parents can even mix-and-match the plans from month-to-month to meet their changing schedules. Students may be enrolled any time throughout the school year. In addition to an array of activities, children may be enrolled in enrichments at an additional cost.

The After School Program (ASP) is available for Community Park, Johnson Park, and Riverside students. Johnson Park participants will be transported to Community Park for the ASP where parents can pick them up. An on-site Before School Program is offered for Pre-K through 5th grade students at the Riverside School. All programs are under the supervision of experienced staff and include a snack.

“We seek to inspire and engage children in learning, provide opportunities for play and socialization (indoors and outdoors), homework, encourage children to explore their interests, and provide “peace of mind” for working parents,” shares Diane Hasili, YWCA Princeton spokesperson.

The organization receives high marks for its program. Nine-five percent of last year’s parents who participated in a satisfaction survey said they would recommend the program to other parents. Its core curriculum includes a multicultural program and a bullying-prevention program that fosters self-esteem and teaches children to respect themselves, others, and the environment.

The program is licensed by the State of New Jersey and the YWCA Princeton is a registered member of the Afterschool Alliance and NJSACC.

Registration forms may be downloaded at www.ywcaprinceton.org/asp. Forms may also be picked up in person at the YWCA, 59 Paul Robeson Place (at the intersection of Route 206), Princeton, NJ.  For additional information on the Princeton Regional program, please contact (609) 497-2100 ext. 327.
