Princeton Residents Victimized By Identity Theft: Police
The personal information belonging to two residents was stolen by unknown people in other states, police said.

PRINCETON, NJ — Two Princeton residents recently had their information stolen by unknown people in other states, police said on Friday.
On Jan. 31, a man reported being notified by Bank of America that someone used his personal information to change his online password and order new debit cards to an address in Windsor, CT.
On the same day, a woman reported that while reviewing her credit card transactions, she noticed a fraudulent charge of $1,999 for the purchase of a firearm in Lake Worth, TX.

Both incidents were reported as part of the police blotter released Friday morning by the Princeton Police Department. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. Other incidents reported Friday morning include:
Peter Aldrich, 62, of Hopewell Township, was arrested on an active warrant for $79 out of Montgomery Township Municipal Court following a traffic stop for a cracked windshield on the 200 block of Mount Lucas Road on Feb. 1 at 2:14 p.m. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued a summons with a pending court date and released after posting bail. In the same incident, 31-year-old Winston Macfarlane, of Trenton, was arrested on an active warrant for $300 out of Trenton Municipal Court. He was taken to police headquarters where he was processed, and released after posting bail.

George Gibson, 64, of Trenton, was arrested on two active warrants after a report of panhandling outside the Princeton Shopping Center on Jan. 30 at 8:35 a.m. One warrant was from Trenton Municipal Court for $150, and the other is from Westampton Municipal Court for $316. Further investigation revealed that Gibson had also stolen several items of food worth a total of $36.46 from McCaffrey's Food Market. He was processed at police headquarters, issued a summons with a pending court date and released on his own recognizance by both courts.
