“It was a very tough field. And as Princeton and all of us know, we want one of the best, if not the best person to put in front of our kids and work with us. And John fits that bill,” said Rebecca Gold Superintendent for Human Resources.

McMichael, who is currently on vacation with his family joined the meeting via Zoom. He thanked the Board for appointing him, saying he would work tirelessly to earn the confidence the Board placed in him.

“I'm a board member in my town. And I love seeing the faces of people who get approved at our meetings,” McMichael said. “Counseling has been my entire career. I'm just a very internally driven, intrinsically motivated person. And I always strive for the best in my life, whether that's in my professional world, or my personal life.”

McMichael said he was very excited to get to work and can’t wait to “hit the ground running.”
