Princeton Teen Creates Non-Profit To Deliver Groceries For Free
Nico Theunissen, 16, created Store to Door Deliveries where he shops and delivers groceries to those in need amid the coronavirus.

PRINCETON, NJ — Returning to his hometown of Princeton during the coronavirus pandemic, 16-year-old Nico Theunissen had a lot of time on his hands and wanted to give back to the community in need.
Theunissen started the Store to Door Deliveries non-profit as a way to help those who are vulnerable and can not get out to the grocery stores. It started as a free grocery delivery service but now Theunissen has expanded it to include shopping for people.
Customers give Theunissen a list and pay the cost of the order through Venmo. However, delivery is free.

"As a part time resident here, this organization has allowed me to bond with the local community in a much stronger way than I ever have. It has also been very rewarding knowing I am able to help those in need during a time like this, in which many are at risk," Theunissen said.

The service of pickup and delivery of food or supplies applies to anyone in the Princeton area.
"Starting this nonprofit has been the best thing I have done for myself and for the community in the past two months, and I hope it is an inspiration for others who have time on their hands to help as well," Theunissen said.
