Princeton University Professor, Leading Intellectual To Speak At One Table Cafe Dinner

Eddie Glaude will be the guest speaker at One Table Cafe's next dinner on Friday, May 19, 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Church.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton University Professor Eddie Glaude will be the guest speaker at One Table Cafe’s next dinner on Friday, May 19, 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer Street, in Princeton. Glaude is the Chair of the Department of African American Studies and the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African American Studies at Princeton University. Bahama Breeze at Marketfair, Route 1, Princeton will again be providing the dinner.

Glaude is regarded as one of the most important black intellectuals in the United States. He offers a critical and insightful view on the problems currently facing black America and the nation at large. His award-winning book, “In a Shade of Blue: Pragmatism and the Politics of Black America,” has been characterized as a tour de force.

One Table Café is a community-supported restaurant and all are welcome. Diners pay for their meal on a pay-what-you-can basis. All proceeds benefit the following organizations:
  • Mercer Street Friends;
  • Trenton Area Soup Kitchen;
  • Bread for the World; and
  • Episcopal Relief Hunger Fund.
