Princeton Youth Ballet is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year. It was founded in 2005 by Risa Kaplowitz and Susan Jaffe.
“I am so excited to celebrate PYB’s 10th year with a new production of Cinderella,” Kaplowitz, Artistic Director of PYB, said. “The dancers are stronger than ever and they always inspire me. I am working hard to gather a score, which will inform the way I tell this classic fairytale. In the meantime, I look forward to the fifth season of ‘The Snow Queen,’ which has already become a tradition for a new generation of families.”

“Cinderella” is a new ballet with choreography by Kapowitz. It runs May 14 and 15 at the Princeton High School Performing Arts Center.
“The Snow Queen” runs on Dec. 12 and 13 at the high school’s performing arts center.
The Princeton Youth Ballet is dedicated to giving talented young dancers the opportunity to perform principal roles in professional-quality productions, and encouraging the community to fall in love with classical ballet through inspired storytelling, magical productions, and uncompromising artistry.
“We believe that ballet is more than entertainment,” Catherine Piontek, President of the PYB Board of Trustees, said. “It is a means by which both dancer and audience can connect to something larger than themselves, and an experience that can transform the lives of both dancer and viewer, in the theater and beyond.”
