Protect Mueller Protest Planned In Princeton
A protest to protect Robert Mueller in the wake of Jeff Session's departure will be held in Hinds Plaza in Princeton on Thursday.

PRINCETON, NJ — Protestors advocating for the protection of Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller in the wake of Attorney General Jeff Sessions' departure are planning an event Thursday evening at Hinds Plaza in Princeton.
The protest starts at 5 p.m. at the plaza where the Princeton Farmer's Market is held at 55 Witherspoon St. in Princeton, according to an online event page.
"If you choose to attend an event, you agree to engage in nonviolent, peaceful action, to act lawfully, and to strive to de-escalate any potential confrontations with those who may disagree with our values," the event page stated.

A similar event is planned at Trenton City Hall in Trenton along several others across New Jersey, according to the event page.
The protest comes a day after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced he is leaving the administration at the request of President Donald Trump.

Sessions, a Trump ally who threw his weight behind the president in the 2016 election, recused himself in March 2017 from the probe investigating Russian interference in the presidential election and possible collusion by members of the Trump campaign. Sessions' deputy attorney general, Rod Rosenstein, appointed Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller to oversee the probe in May 2017 after Trump fired then-FBI director James Comey.
