Prudential Fox & Roach/The Trident Group Hosts Record-Breaking Backpack Collection for Underprivileged Kids

Another record-breaking backpack drive by Prudential Fox & Roach, REALTORS®/The Trident Group and Prudential Patt, White/Premier has resulted in more than 3000 fully loaded backpacks collected, topping last year’s record of 1633 with an 84% increase.

Congratulations to the Princeton Home Marketing Center, one of the top offices in the backpack collection, with 104 backpacks. The company’s New Jersey Offices donated 638 backpacks, which will be distributed to Al Maun Fund, National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc. and the Department of Youth and Family Services.

“One in five children in our region live below the poverty line, making our annual backpack drive an important and gratifying staple of our company, enabling us to assist so many children in need and give them a backpack filled with supplies of their very own,” adds Kassie Erb, President of Fox & Roach Charities. Since 2006, the company has collected over 9,000 backpacks and supplies for homeless/foster care children in the Tri-State.  “Having our largest backpack drive to date, it really reflects people’s generosity,” remarks Erb. Just imagine the pride and confidence that more than 3000 young students will feel on their first day of school as they carry their new backpacks.”

Fox & Roach Charities, a charitable foundation sponsored by Prudential Fox & Roach, REALTORS®, coordinated this project with the company’s sales associates and employees and partnered with Office Basics and Cradles to Crayons, (C2C), a non-profit organization that provides, free of charge, the basic necessities to children living in poor and low-income families. Fox & Roach Charities is funded solely by contributors and gives 100 percent of its proceeds to eligible non-profits across the tri-state region.
