Quick Update: The Wild, Wild Game at Trenton Thunder

In a game that commenced at precisely 7:05pm and ended at around 1:00am in the morning was certainly the longest game us fans have seen this entire year. C.C. Sabathia did in fact pitch, which enabled fans to watch and see the 6'7 Sabathia get clobbered by the Portland Sea Dog's hitting. Before the game had commenced, hundreds of pro - Yankee fans lined up behind the right field bleachers in spite of possibly receiving an autograph from Sabathia himself. Sadly for all those desperate Yankee fans, Sabathia would not sign any autographs whatsoever.

Across the field, Henry Owens, the number one top prospect for the Boston Red Sox,  and the number twenty-six best prospect in the minor leagues was sadly shunned and ignored by fans . Determined to join the Yankees once again, C.C. Sabathia took the field, pitching practice fastballs as high as 94 mph. Although the majority of the Trenton Thunder fans thought that yesterday's game was certainly a win, the game was proved to be much tougher than many thought.

After allowing a hand-full of runs in the first four innings, rain, lightning, and thunder arrived just in time to delay the baseball game for one hour and thirty minutes. Ages later, the game resumed, only to be delayed once again because of various reports of dangerous weather and flash flood warnings in Trenton, NJ.

Finally, the baseball game resumed after about an two hours of endless waiting. Although there were only about ten fans that remained in the ballpark, those fans certainly did enjoy a wild, wild game. As a result, the Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Trenton Thunder 8 - 6. If there was one thing that made the minor league baseball players happy after the game, it was definitely sleep.
