Reopening Princeton Businesses 'Is A Good Sign': Lambros

Gov. Phil Murphy reopened more businesses Wednesday as he readies a plan to restart New Jersey's economy amid the coronavirus outbreak.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Councilwoman Michelle Pirone Lambros says Gov. Phil Murphy's announcement on Wednesday to begin opening some small businesses "is a good sign."

"I think this is a good sign that we are flattening the curve and taking a cautious path toward reopening. I believe this slower more gradual reopening will help retailers restart their businesses. Retailers will need to be able to accept online payments and phone orders and have a curb side pick up mechanism in place," said Lambros who has served on the Princeton Merchants Association and the Greater Princeton Chamber of Commerce. "The municipality is working closely with the business community to help support the new demands put on our businesses and help them through this process."

Murphy's announcement is part of plan to restart New Jersey's economy amid the coronavirus outbreak.
