Replacement Of 100-Year-Old Culvert In Princeton Continues
Part of Route 206 North will be closed on Friday for the work.

PRINCETON, NJ — Route 206 North will be closed between Herrontown Road and Ewing Street as a culvert replacement project in Princeton continues, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced.
The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, for utility and pavement tests adjacent to the existing culvert. This is preparatory work for the permanent replacement of the culvert. One lane will be open with alternating traffic being directed by flagmen.
The 100 year-old 14-foot culvert located on Route 206 (State Street) between Hillside Avenue and Arreton Road in Princeton was identified as being in need of replacement during a scheduled inspection in September. Temporary steel plates have been installed and paved over until a new culvert can be manufactured and prepared for installation.
