Resident Scammed By Man Posing As PSE&G Employee: Princeton PD Blotter
The resident wired around $400 man who posed as a PSE&G employee, police said.

PRINCETON, NJ — On Sept. 26, at 6:50 p.m., a resident reported that they were scammed out of around $400 after an unknown male posed as a PSE&G employee and informed him he had an outstanding balance, police said. The resident wired the money to the unknown man and later learned he had been scammed. The Detective Bureau is investigating.
On Sept. 27, at 10:52, the Princeton University Department of Public Safety conducted a motor vehicle stop at Elm Drive. Officers on patrol responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. The investigation confirmed that the driver was driving a stolen vehicle that was reported out of Fort Lee, police said. The 22-year-old man was processed, charged and taken to the Mercer County Correctional Facility.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on Sept. 27 after he was recognized by patrol on Witherspoon Street and was known to have an outstanding warrant out of Princeton Municipal Court in the amount of $5000. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released with a new court date, police said.

On Oct. 1, a John Street resident reported that his white and red Vivi folding Electric Bike was stolen from his porch sometime between Sept. 29 and Oct. 1. The Detective Bureau is investigating.
