Road Work To Continue In Princeton On Tuesday: Police

PRINCETON, NJ — Work on Valley Road will continue on Tuesday, May 16, Princeton police said Monday afternoon. The portion of Valley Road between Witherspoon Street and Ewing Street will be paved from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. A small portion of Harris Road will also be paved.

No traffic will be allowed on Valley or Harris roads during the paving. All traffic to John Witherspoon School and Princeton High School should use alternate routes, and plan for extra travel time. On Monday, Valley Road was closed Witherspoon Street and Ewing Street for milling and paving.

Additionally, repairs will be made along John Street between Lytle Street and Quarry Street from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The road will be narrowed while work is being done. Drivers should use caution in the area.

Finally, there will be alternating traffic on the Quaker Road bridge. he contractor will be working on the bridge on Route 206. Flaggers will be on location alternating traffic from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes. Non-truck traffic should use Mercer Road, Rosedale Road, Route 518, or one of the access roads from Route 1. Vehicles over 20 tons should use the Route 518 detour.
