Shooting On Route 1 In West Windsor Under Investigation: Police

The victim is not cooperating with detectives, police said on Tuesday.

WEST WINDSOR, NJ — Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Route 1 in West Windsor last week.

A 36-year-old Trenton man was shot in his right bicep on Route 1, possibly in the area of of the Extended Stay America at about 2:12 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, West Windsor police said on Tuesday. He was reportedly standing in the shoulder of US Route 1 North urinating when he heard a loud noise, looked at his arm, and realized he had been shot.

He was taken to the Capital Health Medical Center Fuld Campus Emergency Room in Trenton where detectives attempted to interview him. Police said the man, who they didn’t identify by name, refused to cooperate with detectives, providing very little information as to what happened.
