Sledge Hammer-Wielding Burglars Stole Jewelry At Princeton Store: Cops

Princeton Police also reported making two arrests for outstanding warrants last week.

PRINCETON, NJ — Multiple people who used a sledgehammer to burglarize a Princeton business remain at large, said police.

On April 7 at 4:45 a.m., Princeton Police Patrols responded to an activated commercial burglar alarm on Nassau Street.

An investigation found that around three people forced entry into a business on Nassau Street and stole several items of jewelry after breaking display cases with a sledgehammer and glass breaking tools, according to the Princeton Police blotter.

The unknown suspects fled the scene in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with black rims and a temporary license plate, said police.

On April 2 at 5:06 p.m.: Subsequent to a call on North Harrison Street, Brendon Paillere, 26, of Piscataway, was arrested by patrols after he was found to have an active ACS warrant out of Orange City Municipal Court. Paillere was arrested, taken to police headquarters, and processed accordingly. Paillere was turned over to officers from the Orange City Police Department at the conclusion of the arrest processing.

On April 7 at 11:09 p.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Nassau Street, the driver/registered owner, Anthony Coleman, 60, of Trenton, was found to have an active ATS warrant out of Raritan Borough Municipal Court for $500. A NJ Bail Recognizance with Waiver of Extradition form was completed on scene and Coleman was provided with a new court date.
