Stolen Copper Wire, Church Theft Highlight Princeton Police Report
Princeton police release their activity report.

PRINCETON, NJ — The following information was provided by the Princeton Police Department. All incidents are merely accusations. Those accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
Over $5,000 worth of copper wire was stolen from a work site on Witherspoon Street between Saturday, Aug. 25, and the morning of Monday, Aug. 28. The building was unsecured and under construction at the time of the theft.
Staff at United Methodist Church reported that a laptop was stolen just after 10 a.m. on Aug. 31. Princeton police responded and determined that the thief was still in the area. Bobby Jackson, 54, of Lumberton, was subsequently arrested on an outstanding warrant from a previous burglary at the same church.He was taken to police headquarters, processed, issued several complaint summonses with a pending court date and lodged at the Mercer County Correctional Facility.

The word "Bane" was spray painted in black on the sidewalk of Greenview Avenue, approximately 75 feet north of Wiggins Street on Aug. 31. No other graffiti was found in the area.
Jose Lopez, 23, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after marijuana was smelled coming from a parked car on Karl Light Boulevard on Sept. 4 at 11:44 p.m. He was taken to police headquarters where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle and complaint summonses with a pending court date and released.
