Stolen Wallet Used In Costly Shopping Spree: Princeton Police

The wallet was used for a $4,000 purchase at the Apple Store, and another attempted purchase at Macy's.

PRINCETON, NJ — A woman’s wallet was stolen from a local church, and the thief went on a shopping spree that cost her thousands of dollars. On June 19, the unnamed woman told Princeton police that her wallet had been stolen from her purse while she was at the Unitarian Church.

The thief then made $4,000 worth of purchases at the Apple Store in Quakerbridge Mall. An attempted purchase worth $2,249.53 was declined at the Macy’s store in the mall. The woman has canceled all of her stolen credit cards.

The theft was reported as part of the Princeton Police Department’s weekly report posted on the town’s website. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. The other incidents are as follows:

A woman’s Apple Macbook Pro computer worth $2,399 and $1,600 in cash was stolen from a home on Stetson Way after an unknown person entered the home through an unlocked window on the first floor.

A fishing reel worth $275 was stolen from an apartment on Albert Way sometime within the last three months. In the process of removing the reel from the pole that it was attached to, the pole was broken. The pole was worth about $25.

A juvenile male stole a wallet from a person on Leigh Avenue. The wallet was subsequently found in Community Park South, but $170 was missing.

Bradley Samber, 36, of North Brunswick, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a traffic stop for failure to keep right on Pine Street on June 17. Samber was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several summonses with a pending court date and subsequently released 12 hours later when sober. Samber was unable to contact a sober adult to take custody of him as required by Johns Law.

Kwajah Mohiuddin, 57, of Belle Mead, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a traffic stop for failure to keep right on Princeton-Kingston Road on June 17. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several motor summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.
