Attempted Child Luring Reported In Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ — A fourth-grader at Community Park School said she was approached by a strange woman who asked her to get in her car, Princeton police said on Wednesday.

The girl said she was walking to school with an adult just before 9 a.m. Tuesday morning when they were approached by an unknown woman who told her to, “get in my car,” and said “I have something to show you,” according to the Princeton Police Department.

The woman was described as a white woman in her 30s with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was reportedly driving a blue SUV or minivan bearing unknown NJ registration and containing a red "Rutgers" logo (red in color capital letter "R") on the back of the vehicle.

There have been no other incidents or sightings of the unknown woman or the vehicle since the initial report. If anyone has had a similar experience and have not reported, they are asked to contact the Princeton Police Department at 609-921-2100.
