Subway on Witherspoon Street in Princeton Closes

Princeton, NJ -- For the second time in eight months, a Subway restaurant in Princeton has closed.

On Wednesday, the Subway on Witherspoon Street informed its customers that it had closed, Planet Princeton reports. Jules Thin Crust Pizza, based in Doylestown, PA., plans to open a restaurant in that location in the next few months.

Subway had been open on Witherspoon Street since 2004, according to the report.

The same family owned the Subway that was opened on Nassau Street for a year before it closed in July. That store was located across the street from Hoagie Haven, and couldn’t compete with the local staple.
