Terroristic Threats, Theft, Simple Assault: Princeton Police Blotter

A man was assaulted on Witherspoon Street and his gold necklace taken, police said.

PRINCETON, NJ – This week's Princeton Police blotter contained the following reports:

On Oct. 23, police responded to Witherspoon Street on a report of a fight between three people. According to an investigation, a 42-year-old Trenton man assaulted a man, ripped a gold necklace off his neck, threatened him and then fled the area. The Trenton man was located by police and taken into custody, police said. He was processed, charged and taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center.

On Oct. 24, at 4:03 p.m., an Arreton Road resident told police that a package containing an Apple iPhone that she ordered was stolen. The package was to be delivered to her residence but she never received it although it was signed for with a digital signature showing it was delivered, police said. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Oct. 29 at 2:44 p.m., A resident reported that an unknown person scratched the passenger side fender, both passenger side doors, and the hood of her vehicle that was parked in the Griggs Corner Yard between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 18. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Oct. 30 at 2:33 a.m., police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Washington Road. An 18-year-old Trenton resident was placed under arrest for hindering apprehension, after providing false pedigree information on several occasions, police said. The teen was taken to police headquarters where she was processed, charged accordingly and released with a mandatory court date.
