Theft, Forgery: Princeton Police Blotter June 20
Two checks in the amount of $39,263 were fraudulently altered from a business bank account, police said.
PRINCETON, NJ — On June 14, a resident of Harrison Street reported that an unknown individual fraudulently altered two checks in the total amount of $39,263.09 from a business bank account, police said.
The suspect was able to successfully deposit one check electronically for the amount of $20,131.30 into an unknown bank account, police said. However, the second check was flagged as fraudulent. The Detective Bureau is currently investigating.
On June 18, a resident of Carriage Way reported that an unknown person fraudulently cashed a check from a joint checking account on June 15 at an unknown ATM, in the amount of $8,300.76, police said. Investigating is ongoing.

On June 17, a Spruce Circle resident told police that on June 14, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., her
pocketbook was stolen from her locked vehicle, while it was parked on Spruce Circle. Police are investigating.
A resident of Walnut Lane reported that her unlocked bicycle was stolen from a bike rack
