PRINCETON, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

  • Name: David and Renee Lehmann
  • State: New Jersey

  • Hero's job: Pastor of Nassau Christian Center
  • Relationship to nominee: He is my Pastor and I am a volunteer leader.
  • Reason for recognition: Pastor David and his wife Renee have served as the leaders of Nassau Christian Center for the past 4 years. During Covid-19, they have gone above and beyond in serving not just the NCC congregants but the greater Mercer County.
  • One thing to know: They love along with Minister Sam Immanuel people, regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation. They have delivered food to hospital workers, families that have lost jobs while still encouraging the church and community.
