No Threat At Princeton High School As Shelter-In-Place Remains

Police have determined that there is no current threat at the high school and will remain on site at the high school as a precaution.

PRINCETON, NJ — A shelter-in-place will remain at all Princeton schools after the high school received an unconfirmed threat at around 11 a.m. Friday, officials say.

"The police have determined that there is no current threat at Princeton High School. They will, however, remain on site at the high school and will provide a presence at our other schools as well," Princeton Superintendent Steve Cochrane said.

The shelter-in-place at all schools throughout the remainder of the day as an added precaution, Cochrane said.

High school students will be released at 3 p.m. Friday so that John Witherspoon Middle School and high school students can take the buses together immediately after the end of the school day.

After school and evening activities scheduled for Friday will continue as planned in all of the schools.

"I want to once again thank our police for their immediate response and ongoing support as we addressed the situation today," Cochrane said. "I also want to thank our staff and students for their cooperation and calm during this disruption to their day."
