Two-Alarm Fire Damages Princeton Home Leaving It Uninhabitable
The origin and cause of the fire are currently under investigation, officials said. No injuries were reported.
PRINCETON, NJ — A blaze on Saturday morning destroyed parts of a home on Armour Road, Princeton, leaving the family homeless, officials said. No injuries were reported.
At 4:10 a.m. on Saturday, a resident on Armour Road called the Princeton Police Department to report their garage was on fire, said Michael Yeh, Director, Department of Emergency & Safety Services. The Princeton Fire and Police Departments along with the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad were dispatched to the address.
On arrival, the Princeton Police found the “garage was fully involved in fire and the fire was spreading to the house.” Ladder 60 requested the full First Alarm Assignment and Ladder 60 arrived at 04:18 a.m., officials said.

The fire response was soon upgraded to a second alarm as additional firefighters and resources were needed, officials said.
Plainsboro Fire and EMS, Princeton Plasma Physics Lab, Lawrenceville, Princeton Junction, Hopewell, Montgomery #2, Rocky Hill, East Windsor #1, and West Windsor Emergency Services, responded o the scene and helped in firefighting efforts.

An investigation led by Princeton Fire Marshal Joseph Novak revealed that the resident woke up and saw fire in their garage area. They then contacted the police department.
The origin and cause of the fire are currently under investigation. The house is uninhabitable, and the residents are staying with friends, officials said.
