Unlocked Princeton Home Burglarized While Resident Slept

Princeton Police also reported charging a Skillman woman for driving while intoxicated and a Hamilton man on a warrant.

PRINCETON, NJ — An unlocked Princeton home was burglarized overnight with the resident inside, police report.

On Feb. 7 at 5:29 p.m., a Kingston Road resident reported their home was burglarized sometime between 11 p.m. on Feb. 6 and 9 a.m. on Feb. 7.

Taken from outdoors was a Thule brand roof rack, a garden table, and six patio chairs. Two golden bangles were taken from inside the unlocked, occupied home, police report.

The value of the stolen items is about $2,800.

On Feb. 5 at 3:18 p.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on S. Johnson Avenue for driving while suspended, Leevencli Valmont, 23, of Hamilton was found to have an active traffic warrant out of Lawrence Township for $89. Valmont was placed under arrest and later released with a summons after his bail was posted by a third party.

On Feb. 6 at 5:52 p.m.: Patrols responded to a one-car motor vehicle crash on Herrontown Road. The driver, Anne Phillips of Mystic Drive in Skillman, was ultimately arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was taken to headquarters where she was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.
