Verizon To Host Wireless 5G Public Forum In Princeton On Feb. 9

Verizon plans to install small cell nodes in the public right-of-way.

PRINCETON, NJ - Verizon Wireless will be hosting a public forum on Feb. 9 to discuss plans to upgrade its wireless network in Princeton. The forum will be held virtually.

Verizon plans to install small cell nodes in the public right-of-way. These cell nodes will improve the municipality’s telecommunications infrastructure by delivering increased data capacity, providing faster connectivity speeds, and improving the overall public safety communication options by delivering a superior wireless network to Princeton, the company said.

The cell nodes are part of Verizon’s 5G technology. They are small and can be mounted on street lights, utility poles, buildings and other similar structures

The virtual public forum will be held Wednesday, Feb. 9 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The forum will be available for everyone from the public to attend via Google Meet or by telephone.
