PRINCETON, NJ — The first official teaser trailer of Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” is here!

“Oppenheimer” is based on the Pulitzer-winning book, "American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer," by Kai Bird and Martin J Sherwin.

Cillian Murphy stars as J. Robert Oppenheimer, whose work on the Manhattan Project led to the creation of the atomic bomb.

Oppenheimer is the former director of the Institute for Advanced Study and is referred to as the "father of the atomic bomb."
