Who Pays N.J.'s Biggest Property Tax Bills? Princeton's Among Them

How much do you pay in property taxes?

In New Jersey, the state with the highest property taxes in the nation, you likely pay a lot.

The N.J. Department of Community Affairs released data recently showing the average tax bills and property tax hikes for every municipality in the state. The data also shows how the rates have changed over the years.

In this installment, Patch will look at all N.J. communities and their average property tax bills between 2014 and 2015, when the average bill jumped 2.4 percent, and rank them from top to bottom.

Indeed, 503 of the state’s 565 municipalities had a property tax hikes last year. But who paid the most?
