Uber Driver Accused Of Groping Woman During Ride To Princeton Area Suspended
Uber said a driver who allegedly touched a woman during a ride from Pennsylvania to Princeton has been suspended.

PRINCETON, NJ — A 21-year-old New York woman claims an Uber driver she hired touched her sexually while taking her from Pennsylvania to the Princeton area, Princeton Police said on Tuesday.
The alleged incident involving the unidentified woman from Carleplace, NY, took place at about 11:47 p.m. Saturday night, police said.
The woman told police she was on her way to see her friend. She called the police from Olden Street after she got out of the car, police said.

Police didn’t identify the woman or the driver on Tuesday.
An Uber spokeswoman said the driver has been banned from driving for them, pending a police investigation. She also pointed out the driver's actions are a clear violation of the company's guidelines.

"We all value our personal space and privacy. It’s OK to chat with other people in the car. But please don’t comment on someone’s appearance or ask whether they are single," the policy reads, in part. "As a passenger, if you need to make a phone call, keep your voice down to avoid disturbing your driver or other riders. And don’t touch or flirt with other people in the car. As a reminder, Uber has a no sex rule. That’s no sexual conduct between drivers and riders, no matter what."
