World Renown Educator to Speak at Princeton Academy

World-renowned educator and gender-based learning expert Dr. Abigail Norfleet James will be coming to Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart to talk about her latest book, The Parents Guide to Boys: Help your son get the most out of school and life.”

James will be giving her much anticipated presentation on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

“Dr. James, a psychologist and educator, has written many books on teaching the male brain and teaching the female brain,” said Olen Kalkus, the headmaster at Princeton Academy. “Her talks are highly engaging and offer many tips and insights that parents can use immediately to help their sons learn and grow.”

James is expected to discuss topics such as how boys’ brain development affects learning and behavior; strategies to help boys overcome learning difficulties and ways for parents to work with teachers to optimize the education their sons are receiving.

James earned her B.A. in Science Education at Duke University, and went on to the University of Virginia to earn her Master’s in Counselor Education and her Doctorate in Educational Psychology.  She has spent her whole career teaching and working with students, educators and parents not only countrywide, but all over the world.
