Zoning Board To Review 10-Unit Apartment Proposal In Princeton
The developer plans to demolish a two-family home and construct an apartment building on Vandeventer.

PRINCETON, NJ —In October, the Historic Preservation Commission gave a favorable response to RB Homes Inc. The proposal is to build a 10-unit apartment building on Vandeventer Avenue.
The Zoning Board will now hear the application on Wednesday, at 7:30 p.m.
The developer plans to demolish a two-family home and construct an apartment building on the site that contains four lots on 10, 14.5, 16 and 18 Vandeventer.

10-14.5 Vandeventer fall within the Central Historic District and 16-18 falls within the Suggested Central Residential Historic District. Properties on both sides of Vandeventer Avenue have 19th-century homes, built in the 1890s and fashioned in Queen Ann style. The buildings proposed for demolition are currently in disrepair.
Two of the units will be earmarked for affordable housing. Parking spaces will be provided at the rear of the 16-18 Vandeventer.

The “Lincoln Court Project” will also include a bicycle rack and a new crosswalk.
