The driver, a man from Saddle River, was not with the women. Sgt. Michael Blondin, who was on his way to the scene, found the man in a snow bank near the exit 66 exit ramp, Batelli said. The woman told police the driver may have gotten out of the vehicle and went for help, but were not certain.

The man was having convulsions, unable to feel his legs, and was cyanotic, Batelli said. He was taken to Blondin’s vehicle and dministered first aid. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was treated for hypothermia and ”other medical conditions,” the chief said.
