Bullying In Ramsey, Teacher Contract Presentations Thursday
School board plans to give public presentations on two major issues

Thursday night’s Board of Education meeting plans to address two important issues in the district: bullying and teacher contracts.
According to an announcement at last week’s meeting, the board of ed will first give a presentation on the Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying procedures that have been in place in the district for the past year. The board said it will explain to parents the implementation of the state-mandated HIB laws.
After that presentation, the board will explain and publicly discuss a new teacher contract agreement before voting on its terms. After several years of disputed negotiations between the Ramsey Teachers Association and the school board, the two sides reached a tentative agreement last month.

Last week, the RTA voted to ratify the agreement, which includes a 2% pay raise for this school year. If the board votes in favor of the agreement Thursday, it will be finalized.
