Drunk Driver Crashes, Sending Passenger To Hospital, Bergen County Prosecutor Says
A Bergen County man was charged in a rollover crash that sent his passenger to the hospital.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Cliffside Park man was charged with drunk driving after causing a rollover crash on Friday night, prosecutors said.
Yun S. Kang, 71, of Cliffisde Park was arrested on Saturday, said the office of Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
Prosecutors say that just after 8:30 p.m. on Friday, the Bogota Police Department responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Queen Anne Road, near the intersection with Maple Street.

Police found a 2018 Kia on its side, with the driver (Kang) and a passenger trapped inside.
The passenger, a 70-year-old man from Fairview, had serious injuries, prosecutors said. He was taken to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Officials said Kang, who was uninjured, had struck a parked car, causing the Kia to roll onto its side.
Because of the extent of the passenger's injuries, and suspicion from police that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, the Prosecutor's Office was notified.
On Saturday, Kang was charged with third-degree assault by auto, driving while intoxicated, and related motor vehicle offenses.
He was taken to the Bergen County Jail, made a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, and was released to await further court action, prosecutors said.
