Calendar For The New Ramsey School Year

The 2012-2013 school year starts this week for Ramsey students.

Teachers are set to start Tuesday, with students in all five district schools heading back Thursday.

The school year calendar, from the district’s website, is attached to this article in a downloadable PDF format. Some highlights from the calendar:

• Students are scheduled to attend 187 days of school this year
• Students can start counting down to two days off in September, the 17th and 26th, in observance of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, respectively
• This year’s holiday recess runs from December 22 through January 1. Students are off seven school days.
• Spring recess runs from April 6 – 14. Students are off five school days.
• The last day of school for students in June 24, 2013
• Smith School Commencement is Thursday, June 20
• The Class of 2013 will graduate on Friday, June 21
