Cops: Bergen Catholic Soccer Player Raped College Student
Kevin Convery allegedly raped a 19-year-old woman he met after a concert at the college last month.

An 18-year-old Wyckoff soccer player faces sexual assault charges after being accused of raping a Manhattan College student, authorities said.
Kevin Convery was charged with rape, sexual abuse, and forcible touching, the complaint filed by the Bronx district attorney’s office states. Hesurrendered to New York City police around noon Tuesday, CBS reported.
The 19-year-old alleged victim attends Manhattan College in the Bronx.

Convery allegedly met the woman at a concert in the college gym and was invited back to her dorm room the night they met, police told CBS.
The pair allegedly engaged in sexual activity, but when pressed by Convery to do more, the woman said, “I do not want to have sex,” authorities said.

Convery then allegedly raped the woman, the complaint states, who said to Convery, “I told you no.”
She then allegedly pushed Convery off of her with her arm and leg, the complaint states.
Convery, 18, plays soccer at Bergen Catholic High School, ABC reported.
Convery was arraigned Tuesday night and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court June 23.
