The Empty Bowls Project
Ramsey High School art students create ceramic bowls, sell them, and donate all proceeds to local hunger-fighting organizations.

The Empty Bowls Project is an international campaign to fight hunger through the arts. Artists create bowls for the project, sell them, and donate all proceeds to local hunger-fighting organizations.
Mr. Kotopoulis, art teacher at Ramsey High School, introduced the program to her high school advanced ceramics class in 2014 in order to help inspire creativity while helping those in need. In order to participate, each student designed, created, and glazed a unique ceramic bowl. The bowl is meant to serve as a daily reminder that someone else's bowl is always empty.
Select bowls will be available for purchase at the Ramsey School District Art Show for $20.00 each. The art show is being held in the high school Mitchell Gym on May 9th from 6:30-8:30pm and on May 10th from 6:30-8:00pm. All Empty Bowls Project sales will be donated to Action Against Hunger.
