New Study on Cell Phones & Brain Tumors

There has been mounting evidence linking cell phone use and brain cancer.

Only 28% of industry-funded studies have shown any detrimental effect from cell phone radiation exposure, while 67% of independent studies have.

In May 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which is the cancer research division of the World Health Organization (WHO), declared cell phones a Group 2B Possible Carcinogen. Since 2011, there has been an accumulating body of scientific evidence suggesting the IARC classification should be upgraded to a higher carcinogenic level. A leading brain tumor researcher, Dr. Lennart Hardell from Sweden, in December 2014, called for an upgrade to a Group 1 Carcinogen.

By 1990, before the cell phone industry took off, at least two dozen epidemiological studies on humans indicated a link between electromagnetic fields (EMF) and/or radio frequencies (RF) and serious health problems, including childhood leukemia. .

To evaluate the impact of cell phone radiation, the animals were placed in special chambers in which they were exposed to various levels of cell phone radiation for a total of nine hours a day, seven days a week, from birth to the age of 2. This is more exposure than most people would have.

The study indicated that wireless radiation from mobile phones increased the risk of heart and brain tumors. The heart tumors occurred because the rats and mice were exposed to full body radiation.

10 Tips To Reduce Radiation Exposure:

1. Set limits on your cell phone use

2. Don't let your child use a cell phone or keep it to a minimum

3. Reduce your use of other wireless devices

4. Use older portable home phones that give off less radiation

5. Limit cell phone use to areas with excellent reception

6. Avoid carrying your cell phone on your body

7. Don't sleep with your cell phone under your pillow or near your head

8. Use a well-shielded wired headset

9. Use speaker phone as much as possible, with the phone away from your body

10. Compare specific absorption rate (SAR) ratings of cell phones prior to purchasing a new cell phone
