A Bergen County couple has been charged with harassment after they allegedly sent their son’s basketball coach e-mails in an effort to have him quit or be fired after he allegedly benched their son.

David Kusher and his wife Nancy, both 49, allegedly sent harassing e-mails and letters to Cresskill High School basketball coach and health teacher Michael Doto, nypost.com reported. Their son plays basketball for Cresskill High school.

The couple allegedly sent four e-mails to Doto on March and others throughout the course of two years using fake names and anonymous e-mail addresses.

The Kushers are also accused of making up the e-mail account coachdoto@gmail.com to message Doto directly “to annoy and create emotional distress,” the complaint states.

Doto told NorthJersey.com that the ordeal “has been a scary experience for my family and I.” He declined further comment.
