Ramsey High School Ranked 30th Best In NJ

New Jersey Monthly list based on data from the 2010-2011 school year

Ramsey High School was ranked in the top 10 percent of high schools statewide in the biennial New Jersey Monthly rankings, released Tuesday. Of a list of 328 public high schools in New Jersey, Ramsey High School was ranked Number 30.

The ranking is up slightly from the 2010 list, where RHS was ranked 33.

The 2012 rankings were based on the state Department of Education’s latest NJ School Report Card data, for the 2010-11 school year.

To compile the rankings, schools were compared to one another in three categories: School Environment, which includes measurements like standardized test scores and student/teacher ratio, Student Performance, like AP and HSPA scores, and Student Outcomes, which considers graduation rates.

Ramsey High School was noted as having average class sizes of 22.4 students, 10.3 student-to-faculty ratio, and average combined SAT score of 1632. Ramsey's graduation rate was 96.93 percent.
