Ramsey High-Schoolers' SAT Scores Among Highest In NJ
Several Bergen County high schools earned high SAT scores new data released by the state shows.

RAMSEY, NJ — Students at Ramsey High School score higher on the SAT than almost anyone else in the state, according to statistics released recently by the state Department of Education.
Patch compiled SAT scores in two sections that the state Department of Education identified as "math" and "reading and writing."
Ramsey students scored, on average, 1208 on the 2017 SAT.

Bergen County Academies students earn an average of 1470 on the test. Students attending Bergen County Technical High School at Teterboro earn an average score of 1334. The schools are part of the Bergen County Technical Schools District.

4. Tenafly High School, 1325
11. Ridgewood High School, 1272
12. Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest, 1263
16. Northern Highlands Regional High School, Allendale, 1248
The SAT scores were part of the state Department of Education's School Performance Reports for the 2016-17 school year. The reports include figures on enrollment, proficiency scores, PARCC scores, graduation rates and SAT scores.
These reports are designed to inform parents, educators and communities about how well a school is performing and preparing its students for college and careers, according to the DOE.
