Remembrance Ceremony For Don Bosco Alumni Killed In Crash Is 7 p.m.

Samuel Cali and Leonidas Vagias were killed when the Lexus they were in flew off Route 287 and crashed in the woods.

A Service of Remembrance in memory of Samuel Cali and Leonidas Vagias will be held at Don Bosco Prep, the boys' alma mater, tonight at 7 p.m. in the De Sales Hall Auditorium.

Cali and Vagias were killed when the Lexus they were in flew off Route 287 and into the woods; the crash may have occurred Sunday night, authorities said. The car was found Monday morning.

Cali was a student at Rutgers University. He two-time district wrestling champion at Don Bosco. Vagias was a standout kicker for Don Bosco, according to published reports. He was a kicker on the University of Rhode Island football team.

Don Bosco Prep Principal John Stanczak said Cali Vagias were young men who represented "the heart and soul of Don Bosco Prep — men of character and joy, kindness and goodness. They were gifted student athletes, whose great promise was yet unrealized."
