ShopRite of Ramsey to Host Wide Range of Health and Wellness Events

Programming Includes Women's Health and Celiac Awareness Offerings

This May, ShopRite of Ramsey, an Inserra Supermarkets store, will host a wide range of health and wellness events, including those focused on women’s health and celiac awareness. Sondra Tackett, M.S., R.D., in-store registered dietitian, will lead each of the LiveRight offerings and provide easy-to-implement nutrition and wellness advice. All programs are free, open to the public, held at ShopRite of Ramsey and do not require advance registration, unless otherwise noted:

Fri., May 6 – Celiac Awareness Product Spotlight, 12 – 2 p.m. Stop by the Dietitian’s Corner to sample this month’s dietitian product pick, Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers. Gluten-free never tasted so good.

Tues., May 10 – Free Bone Screening, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. ShopRite of Ramsey has partnered with Kessler Rehabilitation Center in Mahwah to offer a free osteoporosis screen. Stop by the store and take advantage of this free event. No appointment is necessary.

Tues., May 10 – LiveRight with ShopRite Kids’ Culinary Workshop, 4 – 6 p.m. Please note space is limited, and pre-registration at the Courtesy Counter is required. Bring the little chefs to team up with Sondra, ShopRite’s in-store dietitian, and Chef Vicki for this hands-on cooking class. Kids will have fun creating a delicious “Cookout for Kids”-themed menu. The cost is $20 per child with an adult and $10 for each additional child.

Thurs., May 12 – Produce Pick, 2 – 4 p.m. Sondra will be mixing this week’s produce pick into a delicious new dish. Stop by for a sample and some recipes.

Sun., May 15 – Taste of Ramsey at Ramsey’s Main Street Train Station, 1 – 4 p.m. Sondra, ShopRite’s registered dietitian, will be sampling an array of nutritious recipes at the 18th Annual Taste of Ramsey event that benefits Relay for Life. Be sure to stop by Ramsey’s Main Street Station and check out what’s available at the LiveRight with ShopRite table.

Mon., May 16 – LiveRight with ShopRite Kids’ Culinary Workshop, 5 – 7 p.m. Please note space is limited, and pre-registration at the Courtesy Counter is required. The cost is $20 per person.
