Valedictorian and Salutatorian at Ramsey HS

Dr. Michael J. Thumm, Principal of Ramsey High School, recently announced the names of the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2015. They are Sabrina Casavechia, Valedictorian and Stuart Ian Harvey, Salutatorian.

Both students are President’s Education Award recipients, three time recipients of the Scholastic “R” Award, and National Honor Society members.

Sabrina has involved herself fully during her four years at Ramsey High School through participation in various extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including: Latin Club, Opus the school’s literary magazine, where she had work published, and is the news editor for the Ram, the student newspaper. Casavechia received a Perfect Score on the SAT test, attended N.J. Governor’s School in the Sciences during her junior year, and was recently named a $2500 National Merit Scholarship Winner.

Stuart was named a National Merit Commended Scholar and participated in the N.J. Scholars Program. He has been a member of the spring track team for all four years at Ramsey High School and is a member of “Big Blue” the school’s marching band as well as a Concert Band member.

Miss Casavechia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Casavechia of Ramsey; Mr. Harvey is the son of Mr. Raymond Harvey of Ramsey and Mrs. Cara Harvey of Upper Saddle River.
