WEATHER ALERT: First Winter Storm Expected To Hit Ramsey Area
Details were released of the first winter storm expected to hit N.J. on Monday.

Looks like your dream of a white Christmas could come three days late.
Warnings were issued throughout New Jersey of a winter storm that’s expected to produce snow, sleet, heavy rain and/or strong winds throughout the state.
So if you expect to stay home, or commute to or visit the city, you should be affected some way.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for these counties: Warren, Sussex, Morris, Bergen and Passaic, saying snow, freezing rain or sleet could hit those areas Monday night.
The rest of the state received a Hazardous Weather Outlook on Sunday night, saying sleet or freezing rain could hit with winds as strong as 29 mph.

On Monday morning, the NWS pulled back from that prediction, saying heavy rain and strong winds could hit areas south of Middlesex County.
According to the National Weather Service, New Jersey‘s impact will be:
- Snow, sleet, freezing rain or rain accumulation of up to 1 inch, along with a trace of ice that could impact Tuesday commuters.
- The mixed precipitation begins sometime between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Monday and, in some areas, may briefly change to all snow or sleet around midnight before changing to freezing rain and then rain between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
- Winds will be northeast 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 29 mph.
- Temperatures will fall to between 30 and 32 degrees for a time Monday night before rising above freezing around daybreak Tuesday in North Jersey, while rising to as high as 41 degrees south of Middlesex.
